CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT (CPA) AUDITING AND ATTESTATION (AUD)

CPA AUD Exam is of 4 hours and 15 minutes break and is divided into 5 testlets. Each testlet consists of only one specific type of CPA Exam Question. The 72 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) account for 50% of the score, and 8 Task-Based Simulations (TBSs) account for the other 50% weightage in AUD.

There are four sections in the AUD section.

  • Section A – Ethics, Professional Responsibilities, and General Principles – 15 – 25% weightage
  • Section B – Assessing Risk and Developing a Planned Response – 25 – 35% weightage
  • Section C – Performing Further Procedures and Obtaining Evidence – 30 – 40% weightage
  • Section D – Forming Conclusions and Reporting – 10 – 20% weightage

AUD SECTION PREPARATION TIME

CPA AUD Section requires at least 3 months of continuous preparation. Candidates must give at least 3 hours on weekdays and at least 6 hours on weekends.

PRE-TEST MCQs AND TBSs

According to AICPA, the AUD section includes 12 pre-tests MCQs, and 1 pre-test TBS. Pre-test questions are non-graded and included among graded questions within each testlet. You will not be able to distinguish between pre-test and graded questions. Answer each MCQ and TBS to the best of your ability.
